This Winter School is for Stipendiary and Non-Stipendiary Ministers and Lay Preachers from North Western and Northern Synods.
We are very fortunate this year to have Ann Morisy, who is the Director of the Commission of Urban Life and Faith, who will be leading two sessions on Saturday morning, 30th January 2016 on ‘Ministering where the majority of the congregation is over 65’. (Ann is the author of such best sellers as ‘Beyond the Good Samaritan’, ‘Journeying Out’ and ‘Bothered and Bewildered: Enacting hope in troubled times’). If there are any Elders who wish to just attend the Saturday morning sessions from 9.30am – 12.30pm, you would be very welcome to attend – but please let us know that you are coming.
Other sessions include a Bible Study by Lawrence Moore (Director of the Windermere Centre) and two sessions led by Revd Andrew Mills (Moderator of North Western Synod of the URC) on ‘Art in worship: Lenten texts, art and the imagination.’
There will also be time for discussion and some free time on Saturday afternoon.
If you wish to attend, please apply to Hazel Wall, NW Synod Office
